Overview
The foot is a complicated body part made up of 26 bones supported by muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints, and they are all subject to pain. Foot pain can also be pain of the heels, toes, nerves, and skin and can severely affect a person’s quality of life. There are several reasons for foot pain including supporting too much weight, poorly fitting shoes, sprains, too much time standing, or overuse from walking, running, or other exercises.
